Prinzipiell können solche Lager aber (wenn in ihnen menschliche Bedingungen herrschen und Kinder zur Schule gehen können, was momentan nicht der Fall ist), Menschen den Fluchtweg über das Mittelmeer ersparen. Beispielsweise wenn sie sowieso keine Chance auf Asyl haben. Das wäre wünschenswert. Generell sollte allerdings auch die Mittelmeerüberquerung auf legalem Weg möglich sein, um katastrophale Bedingungen wie sie momentan herrschen, zu verhindern.
