Ein gesunder Lebensstil im Sinne einer ausgewogenen Ernährung und regelmässiger Bewegung wirkt präventiv gegenüber zahlreichen Erkrankungen. Regelmässiger hoher Zuckerkonsum kann sich negativ auf die Gesundheit auswirken, ist jedoch nur ein einzelner Aspekt der Ernährung. Die optimale Ernährung muss für jeden Menschen individuell betrachtet werden. Auch hier bin ich der Meinung, der bessere Weg führt über transparente, faktenbasierte Aufklärung und Prävention anstatt über Zwang.

Es ist wichtig, dass ein Bewusstsein für die Eigenverantwortung bezüglich der steigenden gesamtschweizerischen Gesundheitskosten (z.B. Notfallbesuche) geschaffen wird. Hier braucht es Aufklärung der Bevölkerung. Trotzdem glaube ich, eine Bremsung der steigenden Kosten sollte eher über die Reduktion des administrativen Aufwandes des Gesundheitspersonals, rasche Digitalisierung, innovative Technologien, bessere Tarifstrukturen und bessere Arbeitsbedingungen im Gesundheitswesen erreicht werden.

Im Pandemiefall muss der Bundesrat rasch die Empfehlungen beratender Experten aus Medizin und Wissenschaft umsetzen können. Diesen Handlungsspielraum einzuschränken wäre falsch. Eine Möglichkeit wäre jedoch, eine begleitende Kommission einzusetzen, welche sich mit ethischen, sozialen und ökonomischen Aspekten (z.B. Interessensbindungen) solcher Empfehlungen auseinandersetzt. Dies könnte die Transparenz und somit das Verständnis in der Bevölkerung für derartige Einschränkungen erhöhen.

Objektiv gesehen gibt es ein Überangebot an Spitälern in der Schweiz. Innerhalb des Gesundheitswesens bekommt man jedoch das Gefühl, das Gegenteil sei der Fall: überfüllte Notfallstationen, lange Wartezeiten, überarbeitete Mitarbeiter. Hier braucht es eine nationale Strategie zur Erhöhung kantonsübergreifender Kooperation und Effizienz sowie Schaffung von Rahmenbedingungen, wo sich die Mitarbeiter im Gesundheitswesen mehr auf Patientenbetreuung und weniger auf die Kosten fokussieren können.

Entscheidungsfreiheit und Eigenverantwortung sind wichtige gesellschaftliche Pfeiler. Die Hürden für einen derartigen Schritt müssen hoch sein, jedoch soll schlussendlich jeder die Möglichkeit haben selber zu entscheiden, wann er aus dem Leben scheiden möchte. Impfungen retten Leben. Das Ziel von genügend hohen Impfraten kann jedoch nicht durch Zwang, sondern nur durch Aufklärung der Bevölkerung und eine sachliche, faktenbasierte öffentliche Diskussion erreicht werden. Wichtig sind hier insbesondere auch Hilfestellungen beim Lesen und Interpretieren von wissenschaftlichaftlichen Studien und ein einfacher Zugang zu leicht verständlichen Informationen, frei von wirtschaftlichen oder politischen Interessen.
