Stadt Burgdorf

The smartmap graphic shows the candidates' political positions in a two-dimensional space (left-right/liberal-conservative). The smartmap is based on the candidates' answers to the smartvote questionnaire. Users' weighting of individual questions does not affect the calculation. The positions are calculated using a latent variable model based on the candidates' response patterns; in other words, the questions are not assigned to the two smartmap dimensions in advance.

For more information on the smartmap, see the methodology.
