Die AHV-Renten sollten grundsätzlich höher ausfallen, damit sie tatsächlich existenzsichernd sind. Die Plafonierung aufzuheben könnte eine Massnahme in diese Richtung sein, allerdings sind vor allem Alleinstehende von Altersarmut betroffen. Eine Möglichkeit wäre es deshalb die Einzelrenten zu erhöhen und die Plafonierung beizubehalten, so dass alle mehr Altersrente hätten.
